What to expect at the Gathered Worship Service

We come together each week for our service of gathered worship as we respond to God's call to us to worship Him. The way we structure our service reflects the great news of the gospel. During the service we pray and sing together, hear God's Word read, and we have a short talk for the kids and announcements about what's happening in the life of our church. We have a sermon, teaching us from God's Word about knowing Him and being His followers and what that means for the reality of everyday life in this world. Sometimes we'll also have a spot hearing about the difference Jesus makes in someone's work for example, or about some of the great ministries we are able to partner with as a church.

For children

Parents of younger children are most welcome to keep their children in with them during the service. But if parents prefer, there is a parent's room next door to the church with some lounges and toys and books for younger kids. There is a live feed of the service in the parent's room.

Parents of primary aged children are also most welcome to keep their children in with them during the service. But we also have a Sunday School for primary aged children for part of the service which they can go to and learn about the Bible in a way that is specific for their age.

Morning tea together

Part of coming to church is to enjoy one another's friendship and encourage each other. Each Sunday after the service we have a chat over a cuppa and some snacks.

Lunch together

Some Sundays, we have a relaxed lunch together. After we celebrate the Lord's Supper we have an informal lunch together and also on some other Sundays, either in the hall or at one of the lovely local Camden parks.
